Hair Colour Price in Jamnagar: Matrix vs L'Oréal, Root Touch-up, Global Colour and Highlights

Hair colour prices depend on three things: what you want done, how long your hair is, and which colour brand is used. This guide explains the colour services on our menu, root touch-up, global colour, highlights and ombré, and what each costs in Matrix and in L'Oréal.

Which hair colour service do you need?

• Root touch-up: colours only the new growth at the roots, usually to cover greys or to match the rest of your coloured hair. Priced by how much has grown: up to 1 inch, or up to 2 inches.
• Global colour: one colour all over, from roots to ends, such as a rich brown or a natural black. Priced by hair length: medium, long or extra long.
• Highlights: lighter strands that add depth and movement. Priced per strip, so the total depends on how many strips you want.
• Ombré: colour that moves from darker at the roots to lighter at the ends. One price on our menu.

Matrix or L'Oréal: what is the difference in price?

Both are professional salon colour brands, and every colour service on our menu comes in either. On our menu L'Oréal costs more for each service: a root touch-up of up to 1 inch is ₹850 in Matrix and ₹1,000 in L'Oréal. If you have a brand you already use and like, tell us; if not, we will suggest one for your hair and the shade you want.

• Highlights, per strip: Matrix ₹250, L'Oréal ₹350

How much do highlights cost in total?

Highlights are priced per strip: ₹250 in Matrix and ₹350 in L'Oréal. So 10 strips come to ₹2,500 in Matrix or ₹3,500 in L'Oréal. A few face-framing strips cost far less than a full head of highlights, so tell us the look you want and we will count the strips with you before we start.

Root touch-up or global colour?

• Your hair is already coloured and only the roots show: a root touch-up. Choose up to 1 inch or up to 2 inches depending on how much has grown.
• Greys are coming through all over, or you want a new shade: global colour.
• Your hair is long and you want a softer change without regular root touch-ups: ombré or highlights, because the roots stay closer to your natural colour.
• Not sure? Send us a photo in daylight and tell us the shade you want, and we will suggest a service.

Before and after colouring

• Colour brands advise a skin allergy test before colouring, usually about 48 hours ahead, especially if you are colouring for the first time or changing brand. Ask us about it when you book.
• Tell us if you have reacted to hair colour before, or if your scalp is sensitive, broken or sore.
• Tell us about any keratin, smoothening or other treatment in the last few months. Planning both? Ask us which to do first.
• Afterwards, use a shampoo made for coloured hair and keep your hair out of strong sun and chlorinated pools where you can, to help the colour stay.

Booking a colour appointment

Colour takes time, so please book ahead. We are open Monday to Saturday, 10 am – 8 pm, and Sunday, 10 am – 1 pm, at Om Residency, Hirji Mistry Road, Near J J Tower, Jamnagar 361006.
